Every day, 20 people die as a result of their drinking. But alcohol harm is not inevitable. This Alcohol Awareness Week communities across the country call for change.
Alcohol Awareness Week is a chance for the UK to get thinking about drinking. It’s a week of awareness-raising, campaigning for change, and more.
This year (19th – 25th November 2018), the theme is Change.
The Basement Recovery Project often helps people who, all too often, feel it is too late to change. If you read some of the stories on our website, you’ll see that it is never too late for change.
At TBRP, our Recovery Programmes are helping people daily to overcome alcohol (and other drugs) addiction, and given the fact that the median age for people entering treatment is 46 goes to show it is never too late to change your life around. Most people self-refer into treatment and you can do that here too. We are just a phone call away, or you can contact us via the form on our website, or, you can just call in and ask to speak with one of our recovery builders.
This week, we shall be at the Halifax market every day and at Todmorden market on Thursday. Why not pop along to our stall for an informal chat if you or someone you know is struggling with their alcohol use?
“There is Hope Here”.
