The Halloween party at TBRP, Carlton Street, Halifax was a great success. The wonderful costumes and decorations looked amazing.
It was fantastic and very heartwarming to see so many old and new faces, all coming together to dance, laugh and sing. The atmosphere was so warm and friendly, which added to the celebration.
The facilitators also joined in, bringing us all hilarious entertainment and great performances on the karaoke.
It was a pleasure to see the member’s children contributing with their wicked costumes, and singing their favourite songs, with rapturous applause from the adults.
We were treated to a tasty supper of hot dogs, pecan pie and delicious chocolate cake.
There were some really original costumes which members had put a great deal of effort and thought into making and there were some great prizes for the winners.
The highlight of the evening, for me, was when Happy Voices, the TBRP Choir sang. They sounded brilliant and all looked happy and joyous singing together (maybe, Britains Got Talent next!), they brought tears to my eyes in fact, watching them. This ended the evening on a perfect note, and one I will always remember.
On behalf of everyone there, I would like to thank all who organised the evening and for allowing us to have these special get-togethers, “Who said we can’t have fun sober?“.
